They were both unjust taxation schemes. Britain imposed taxes on tea without any consent from the buyers. On the other hand, Whiskey rebellion was tax imposed on alcoholic spirits. In order to market farmer’s grain crops over poor road networks, they had to reduce it to alcohol causing these farmers to lose most of their profits because of this Federal tax on spirits.
