An involuntary group is a group where you find people who are pressured by some external source to seek the assistance of social services to have their emotional problems solved. Usually they don't accept the fact that they have such problems. There are a few people who belong to this group who are forced by the legal system to seek assistance.
The social workers help members identify and express their feelings; “examine the reasons for their reluctance”; “consider what would happen if they were not in the group”; and help participants “appreciate the usefulness of the group experience”.
You can find more details here. But you will need someone older than you to explain it to you because the website has complex stuff.
