Hi tae1990,
Many events that led to the fall of the Aztec empire took place before Cortes arrived. One of them was the human sacrifice resorted to by the Aztecs much to the displeasure of the people of the powerful city of Tlaxcala. The people eventually joined the Spaniards to fight this evil ritual.
