Hi 3ajhs,
In elementary mathematics, the term 'division' means splitting or separating a number or quantity into several equal or unequal parts. It is the exact reverse of the multiplication operation.

The original number that you have is called the 'dividend'.
The number of parts you want to divide it into, is called the 'divisor'.
The resulting number is called the 'quotient'.
There will be a 'remainder' in case the division is not equal.
