what is the most populated region of north carolina?

Hi Chelsea4,

I couldn't find much in the way of specific data but I did find this cool site with all the US census data and the ability to drill down on particular states, county's and cities...could be useful.

A quick google uncovers this list of the 25 biggest cities in North Carolina. Seems Charlotte is the biggest by a factor of two so the chances are the area around Charlotte is the most populated in the state.
