Hi Markus, been reading a bit of Alice in Wonderland per chance?
When Lewis Carroll wrote this the joke was meant to be that there was no answer to the Mad Hatters riddle, Funnily enough Lewis Carroll was so hassled by people wanting to know what it meant that he was later prompted to explain it by saying that "Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!". Despite this he still maintained that it was originally intended to be a riddle without an answer.
Hope that helps, and don't forget you can post answers to any other questions on the site. The site will work best if we all contribute and help each other :)
